Ingredients
- 3 ts Baking powder
- 1 ts Salt
- 1/4 ts Baking soda
- 1/4 c Molasses
- 1/2 c Raisins
- 2 tb Melted shortening
- 1 c Sour milk
- 1/2 c Sugar
- 2 c White flour
- 1 c Bran
- 1 Egg, well beaten

Directions
Yield: 6 Portionen
Combine molasses, shortening, sugar, bran, raisins, egg, and milk. Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Combine with the first mixture. Beat well. Pour into well-oiled loaf pan. Bake in moderate oven (375° F) 1 hour. 1 loaf. Annebel Beasley, Johnson City, TN.
