Preheat oven to 375-degrees. Mix together 1 cup softened butter, 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, 1/2 cup mayonaise, 5 garlic cloves (minced or pressed), 3 T. fresh chopped parsley and 1/2 tsp. oregano. Spread the mixture onto 1 loaf of French or Italian bread (cut lengthwise). Wrap bread in aluminum foil. Bake for 20 minutes. Unwrap and place under broiler to brown. (You may skip the broiler if you choose).
